Berenice Marisei has lived in Italy since 2000, where she has worked with pride at Lazio Innova, the Lazio Region's innovation agency. She has spent almost two decades promoting entrepreneurship, focusing on helping young people and women transform their creative ideas into business realities. Since 2019, she has coordinated the Spazio Attivo – Lazio Open Innovation Centre in Zagarolo, which aims to develop an international hub dedicated to promoting new businesses in the fields of creativity, culture, and design. One of the centre's flagship initiatives is the Zagarolo Game City programme, which has launched an acceleration track specifically designed for video and board game developers.

Zagarolo Game City is the Lazio Region’s programme supporting video and board games. The acceleration programme, managed by Lazio Innova in collaboration with Zagarolo Active Space, is aimed at teams, studios and start-ups with a video or board game project who want technical mentorship and support from national and international experts in the development process.
